March 9th Random act of kindness day for Thomas

On March 9th 2005 Thomas was born he passed away on March 10th2005 his family in their grief asked in his Obituary asked for everyone on his Birthday by doing one random act of kindness to honor his memory.

Every day we should all do something kind, but on this day it means so much more. In the hopes that everyone will participate and it will spread across the world to effect as many people as possible I am asking all of my readers to please remember Thomas and do an Act of Kindness and if you wish please go to the Facebook page of this family and tell them what you have done you can simply type the heading of this post in your search bar on Facebook to find the page.

It does not have to be something huge any small kindness makes a difference to someone, pay for the cup of coffee the stranger sitting next to you had, visit a nursing home and talk to the residents, donate food to a food pantry in your area, call a friend who may be lonely and talk. Whatever you do will be appreciated by everyone.

I thank you all for participating in a day that is so special to this family and in memory of Thomas.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DECADE OR TWO MAKES

As a grandmother I remember the days of Boys team Girls team and some sports are for and some for girls.

Nowadays it seems to equal if either wants to play they can…. I am all for it!

I have a Grandson who wrestled and played baseball and I also have a granddaughter who has played on the boy’s baseball team and is now wrestling!
How do you feel about this? I will admit at first I  worried about the normal things like will she be a so called (tomboy) or what if she gets hurts ( you know the old girls are softer thing) but let me tell you this girl has some real spirit and she has an arm on her she can really throw that ball.

And wrestling is a great activity for the body and mind as well as teaches self-confidence. As far as the tomboy thing goes no worries she loves to wear her fancy dresses and high heels and dance, she is also a music lover. I am so proud of this girl just as proud as I am of her brother she is so well rounded in her interests sports, dancing, singing, hunting even farming by no means will ever be the wallflower we used to see in my days in school.

I cannot wait  to see what is next on her agenda……..she has no fear if it is out there and can be tried she will go for it and give it her all!

Go for your dreams you can do anything you set your mind to!

Love you Miss doodles!
