Easy way to have a Fresh Herb garden even if you dont have extra space !

And it looks so pretty

Find a old pallet make sure all nails are secure and tight, plastic or garden fabric the back, bottom and both sides.

Now fill it up with a good potting soil

Add your Herbs and water as instructed and let sit on ground 1-2 weeks so everything takes a good root
At this point you can lean against house, or better yet hang from the side of shed or house at a good hieght to gather from. Making sure you put the open end up for watering!

Valentines Day will soon be here...Do you have plans?
What does LOVE really mean to you ?

For me it is simply contentment, a feeling of home in his arms the knowing that he brings out the best in me and together we can stand against anything that comes our way, it is knowing that if i fall he will pick me up, and that amazing warm feeling i get even after 38 years every time he looks at me and smiles.
As of right now we have no plans for Feb 14th but what i have come to relize over the years is it does not matter if we are sitting at a fancy table for two eating or dancing the night away somewhere or just sitting on our couch watching a movie, or even working in the barn......It is the being together that counts, love is not there because of where you are, it is there because of who is there!

Sometimes it's not what you say, it is just being there to hold a hand that counts!

So True

Are you planing your garden and seeds yet?

Having listened to all the news about unemployment and taxes and tight budgets, makes me start thinking about my next years food supplies and when it is cold and wintry there is nothing better than going to the canning shelf's and getting some of those great summer and fall flavors that you have canned/stored. A great Vegetable soup starts in the garden and lands on the canning shelf's and root cellar, just waiting to be put together on a cold winters day!!! Personally i cannot say i follow a real recipe for this i just know that if i grab some cubed beef from the freezer ( unless i have some left over beef in fridge) cook it up then go to the cellar and grab some canned Tomatoes, Potatoes, onion, a few pints of different vegetables add a alittle salt, pepper and celery seed to taste and simmer and a meal is born!
As i am using this years canned goods i start thinking about getting my seeds started and maybe adding a few ideas to the garden this spring. Have you thought about yours yet?
